Moss Outdoor Shooting and Archery, we offer a comprehensive suite of safe, quality ranges designed to challenge and accommodate every shooter, from the competitive marksman to the casual family archer.
The 600-Yard Rifle Range: Long-Range Excellence
This is the centerpiece of our facility and one of the few places in the region where you can truly test your precision out to 600 yards.
Features and Target System:
Long-Range Distance
Challenge yourself out to the full 600-yard distance.
Progressive Targeting
We utilize a two-stage target system for maximum flexibility.
- 0–100 Yards: Dedicated space for sighting-in and paper target practice. Target stands are provided.
- 150–600 Yards: AR500 steel targets are positioned every 50 yards from 150 yards onward (150, 200, 250, etc.), including a variety of swinging and T-post targets.
Progressive Targeting
The shooting line features shaded benches and prone platforms to ensure comfort during long sessions.

Special Note
Full-Auto and FRT Systems: Legal, registered full-automatic firearms are permitted, but RSO supervision is required for operation to ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols.
25-Yard Pistol Range: Dynamic Training Bay
Our 25-yard pistol range is built for more than just static shooting; it's a place to hone your defensive and competitive skills.
Features and Target System:
Benches
The range is equipped with 3 benches that can comfortably host up to 8 people at a time.
Dynamic Practice Allowed
We uniquely permit the following activities, provided they are conducted safely and adhere to all range rules.
- Drawing from a Holster: Practice your draw stroke from concealment or duty holsters.
- Rapid-Fire Practice: Engage in controlled rapid-fire drills for skill development.
Targets
Stands are available for paper targets.
The Trap Field: Community and Competition
Built for enthusiasts and partnered with local youth, our Trap Field is a fun and challenging area for shotgunners.

Flexibility
Handicaps are available to ensure fair play for all skill levels.

We proudly partner with and host the Hector School Trap Team, fostering the next generation of shooters.
20-Target 3D Archery Course: A Wilderness Challenge
Step away from the benches and into the woods for a unique archery experience.
Features and Target System:
The Course
A 20-target course utilizing realistic 3D animal targets.
Terrain
The course runs through wooded and hilly terrain, offering varied distances and angles.
Time Commitment
Allow approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the course at a comfortable pace.
Facilities and Amenities
RESTROOMS
Portable restrooms are available at this time. Plans are underway to install permanent facilities in the future store building.
Shade
The rifle range benches and prone platforms are shaded with shade sails (note: they are not fully rain-proof).
Refreshments
Water, Gatorade, and various snacks are available for purchase (CASH ONLY).
